Fall 2022 CPP/FPC Study Group

Preparations for the Fall 2022 FPC/CPP/Recertification Study Group are underway.  

The Northeast Wisconsin Chapter encourages all payroll professionals to get certified.  It is an amazing opportunity to advance your skills and gain recognition of those skills in the payroll profession as well as with current or prospective employers.

To help individuals traveling this path be successful, we offer semi-annual study groups.  Each week's session is led by a CPP certified instructor covering a chapter from The Payroll Source in preparation for the exam.

Important Study Group Requirements & Information

  • July 13 - September 7, 2022 (9 weeks)
  • Every Wednesday from 6 PM - 8 PM
  • Study Group Delivery - Online (log in instructions provided 1 week prior to when classes begin)
  • Study Group Material - You are responsible for obtaining The Payroll Source - 2022 Edition
  • If you do not have a 2022 Payroll Source Edition, the 2021 edition is acceptable but you must update for the 2022 limits. See IRS Publication 15a and 15b.
  • Read Sections One and Ten prior to the first meeting & complete the short answer, true false and multiple choice questions.

The registration fee for the full fall session is $50.00

  • No charge for full time students
  • No charge for NE WI APA member who want to participate in the study group but do not plan to take the exam

Non-Member Study Group

**We are in need of instructors and students.  In order to hold the class, we need at least 5 committed students.  Instructors earn RCH's and $50 per session.**

Planning to Test in 2022?

  • Before registering for an exam, you must read the certification CPP or FPC handbook published by the Certification Board of the American Payroll Association to ensure you qualify to take the exam
  • Afterwards, there are specific steps you must take before you can register

  • Once qualifications are confirmed, read exam details carefully
  • Register for your preferred test date early to secure your spot 

Exam Details for Fall 2022

  • Special Note: North American residents can now register and test from the comfort of their home or office using: OnVUE, Parson's online proctoring exam delivery system!
  • Exam will feature questions based on federal laws and regulations in effect as of January 1, 2022
  • Exam: September 10 - October 8, 2022
  • Registration: July 6 - October 7, 2022
